Sarum Rotary Provides Litter Picking Service

Members of Sarum Rotary Club are community-minded people and, as such, are always looking at different ways that they can support the Salisbury community either individually or as a group.

A recent project, spearheaded by new member, Lorraine Mackenzie, which is aimed at helping the environment around the Salisbury community, is to carry out litter picking exercises.

The first litter picking event of this year took place on Saturday 29th May and saw a group of Sarum Rotary members and their families come out in force in the Laverstock area to clear as much litter as possible.

This is just the first of several litter picking events planned by Sarum Rotary Club for this year. The next ones will take place on Thursday 3rd June (evening) and Saturday 5th June (daytime), both starting out from Sarum Academy.

If you’re interested in volunteering to help with litter picking in the Salisbury community, please contact Sarum Rotary’s Secretary by email at sarumrotarysecretary@gmail.com
